Mano en Mano is pleased to announce that it was recently awarded a $2,000 competitive grant from the Bangor Savings Bank Foundation to help fund existing programming and expand the number of participants.  The Foundation’s goal is to support projects that will make our communities more prosperous, more livable, and more vibrant.

“This grant award from our Foundation to Mano en Mano signifies our commitment to improving the quality of life in our communities and improving the skills of Maine’s workforce by working organizations such as Mano en Mano” said Sheryl Edgecomb, Vice President and Branch Manager for Bangor Savings Bank’s Ellsworth location.

“We share Bangor Savings Bank’s commitment to building a stronger Maine so it’s a real honor for us to receive funding from the Foundation,” said Ian Yaffe, Mano en Mano’s Executive Director.  “This support is especially meaningful since the Bank already serves our business and employees with unparalleled value and dedicated customer service.  We are thankful for all that Bangor Savings Bank does for our organization and communities across Maine.”

Mano en Mano currently processes its payroll through Bangor Payroll and participates in the Workplace Advantage Program as a business banking customer.
