Community Integration
Mano en Mano facilitates community connections throughout Milbridge and Washington County, creating spaces for meaningful exchange, communication,and understanding with the goal of helping community members to get together and learn together.
The Community
Integration program is multi-tiered, and includes:
- Family-Friendly Community Events and Activities
- Workshops, in Spanish and English, open to all members of the community on varied topics such as nutrition, financing, banking, and fire safety.
- Educational Programs that help community members enhance their English and Spanish language skills.
- Civic Engagement Initiatives in collaboration with the Town of Milbridge to increase voter turnout.
- Cultural Competency Trainings that educate local businesses and agencies about good practices for relating to diverse populations.
