Successful Business Workshop at Mano en Mano

On Friday evening, Marita Fairfield of the Maine Women’s Business Center at CEI presented a workshop at Mano en Mano entitled: “Is Starting A Business For You?”

This introductory workshop was geared to assist individuals who were considering starting their own business, now or in the future, and was offered in English with Spanish interpretation. Marita gave in depth information about the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, issues to consider before and during the start-up phase, and tools and assistance available in Washington County and outside of our area. Other topics included the importance of business planning, marketing basics, and business financial planning.

We were fortunate to have hosted this workshop at Mano en Mano, and to have benefited from all of Marita’s expertise!

The Maine Women’s Business Center provides counseling and training in a full range of business issues to new and existing women business owners throughout Maine.
