Medical Interpreter Training at Mano en Mano

On Wednesday, April 16, Mano en Mano staff along with members of the community participated in a free training for community members interested in becoming medical interpreter volunteers.  The training, held at the Mano en Mano office, was funded by the Downeast Transformation Collaborative and was presented by Melissa Lucio, an independent interpretation consultant, and Kate Brinks, an AmeriCorps member at Mano en Mano.

Elementary Students Visit Maine Discovery Museum

During February vacation, five elementary-age Migrant Education students went on a field trip to the Maine Discovery Museum in Bangor.
