On March 14th for the first time, we hosted an educational charla (lecture/workshop)for ten high school teens, the first in a series of charlas about health education. A local nurse practitioner, Beth Russet, volunteered to teach the series of 3 classes to the teens in Spanish during March and April. DURING BLUEBERRY HARVEST 2011, MANO EN MANO WORKED WITH MIGRANT YOUTH TO CREATE SEVERAL MULTIMEDIA PROJECTS TO SHARE THEIR STORIES, TALENTS AND INTERESTS. From accounts of laboring in the fields and migrant camp life to fantastical inventions, students used a variety of media to express themselves and share their work with you.
