Work Begins on Hand in Hand Apartments

Milbridge, Maine—Construction has begun on Maine’s first off-farm affordable housing project for farmworkers, with $1.4 million being used to invest the local community. Contracts Signed for Hand in Hand Apartments; Construction to Begin Imminently

Contracts were signed by Ian Yaffe, Executive Director and Dana Littlefield, President of E.W. Littlefield, Inc. of Hartland, Maine on October 6, 2010 for construction of Maine’s first affordable housing project for farmworkers: Hand in Hand Apartments. Work on the Wyman Road site is to begin imminently and a more detailed press release is forthcoming.


Migrant Youth Programs Summer 2010 Newsletter

Summer of 2010 was the first season that Mano en Mano teachers went out to blueberry camps to provide Title 1C mandated educational programming to youth ages 14-21.  Attachment (bilingual/disponible en Español): Summer 2010 Migrant Youth Programs Newsletter.
