Student Portfolio: Migrant Students Use Their Imaginations During Blueberry Harvest 2011

DURING BLUEBERRY HARVEST 2011, MANO EN MANO WORKED WITH MIGRANT YOUTH TO CREATE SEVERAL MULTIMEDIA PROJECTS TO SHARE THEIR STORIES, TALENTS AND INTERESTS. From accounts of laboring in the fields and migrant camp life to fantastical inventions, students used a variety of media to express themselves and share their work with you.  Mano en Mano’s Migrant Education Program was funded by MAINE MIGRANT EDUCATION.

Congratulations to Scholarship Recipient Abby Hernandez

Congratulations Abby! Mano en Mano is pleased to announce Abby Hernandez as the recipient of our 2011 Latino Scholarship! The Scholarship grants $1,000 for the 2011-2012 academic year, and is renewable for three more years. Migrant Youth Programs Summer 2010 Newsletter

Summer of 2010 was the first season that Mano en Mano teachers went out to blueberry camps to provide Title 1C mandated educational programming to youth ages 14-21.  Attachment (bilingual/disponible en Español): Summer 2010 Migrant Youth Programs Newsletter. Mano en Mano Welcomes Summer Education Staff!
